Barbara Jean (Rose) Leone, BJ, 72, beloved wife of Jerry Leone, passed away peacefully at home on January 9, 2021. She was born at Windham Hospital in Willimantic on October 17, 1948 to the late Frederick and Barbara Louise (Topliff) Rose of Coventry, she was one of three children. Barbara retired from the State of Connecticut. After retirement, BJ and Jerry enjoyed life together, boating in Mystic on the Erica Lynn, Cruise lining, RV/Camping, Vegas, The Leone Family reunions at Harkness Park in Waterford. Barbara and Jerry also enjoyed and made many memories with their grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her husband Jerry, who is from Occum,CT but currently resides in Coventry, Barbara is survived by her children; her daughter Lisa Garay and her husband Jason of Coventry; her son Andy Kandolin and his wife Nikki of Coventry; her grandchildren, Joshua Garay, Jared Carvell, Kaylee Morton, Jacob Kandolin, Tristan Kandolin, Joseph Garay and Lynn Garay ; her great grandchildren; Nicolas Garay and soon to be son of Kayee Morton and Nich Ricciardi; her adored sister, Karen Rose of Mansfield and her partner Rick Kandolin; nieces, April O’Leary, Heather Edelstien, Stacy Roche, Madison Harrigan, Corin Weeks, Cheryl Frischmann; nephews, Christopher Rose, and JJ Leone III; her sister-in-law, Sue Harrigan-Rose and husband Gary of Columbia. Besides her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her brother, Scott W. Rose of Columbia, brother-in-law, Jesse Leone and his partner Lillian and her nephew, Rodney Renshaw.
