John P. Rauschenbach, 71, of Broad Brook, CT passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021. He was born on February 3, 1949 in Hartford, CT to the late John and Shirley Rauschenbach. He served his county in the Army in Vietnam between 1969-1971. He retired after employment with Northeast Utilities for over 35 years. He was a fire fighter for over 35 years with the Broad Brook Fire Department ending his career as chief engineer. He loved NASCAR and watched it every chance he could. He was a truck enthusiast that loved to fix and drive anything that moved. His daily routine consisted of his trip around Broad Brook, the town he loved. He is survived by his loving wife Lieu Rauschenbach, his daughter Sandra Rauschenbach and her husband Brian Cote, and his sister Leslie Bourque. He is survived by many sister in laws, brother in laws, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he is predeceased by his brothers Timothy Rauschenbach and Michael Rauschenbach. Relatives and friends may join the family on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 11am for a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Gabriel Church, 379 Broad Street, Windsor, CT. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery in East Windsor, CT. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing guidelines.
