Jim was known for his intelligence, wit, and generosity as a friend and teacher. He trained for over 40 years in Uechi Ryu Karate in the Hartford/Willimantic/Storrs area and held a sixth-degree black belt. Throughout his life, he served as a teacher, mentor, and role model.
