Obituary for Marilyn R. Miller
Marilyn R. Miller of Tolland, wife of the Rev. Donald G. Miller for over 64 years, passed away at home on February 9, 2021. She was born in Scranton, PA on June 20, 1934 to the late Hugh and Margaret Mellarkey.
She graduated from West Scranton High School and Scranton State Hospital School of Nursing.
Marilyn was a member of the United Congregational Church of Tolland for 57 years, where she sang in the church choir and participated in many church activities. She was a certified Red Cross nurse for blood banks, volunteered as a nurse for well child clinics, and also was a substitute nurse for the Tolland school system. She also volunteered for over 20 years at the former Rockville Hospital Gift Shop.
She is survived by Mark and Lisa Miller, and Nancy and Hannes Alholm. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kelsey, Aili and Timothy Alhom, and Abigail and Kathryn Miller, and a sister-in-law Arlene Miller Ward.
