Lawrence Louis Balbi, Sr., 95, of East Windsor, CT died Wednesday, March 31, 2021. He was born in Windsor Locks CT on February 4, 1926 to the late Louis and Celestina (Mobiglia) Balbi. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII covering Central Europe Rhineland Campaign, European-African Middle Eastern Campaign with Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. He retired from Stanadyne Corp in Windsor.
He is survived by his children; Lawrence L. Balbi Jr. (Deborah) and James P. Balbi (Ellen); his grandchildren, Amanda (Adam), Katie (Rob), DJ (Jenna) and 7 Great Grandchildren; Anthony, Mason, Aiden, Harper, Olivia, Casey and Christian; several nieces and nephews, his special friends Theresa and Matt Schmitt and his beloved companion, his cat Snoopy. Besides his parents, Lawrence was predeceased by his wife Myra (Perkins) Balbi who died in 1986, his sister Margaret T. Balbi, and his brother Joseph Balbi. Relatives and friends may join the family at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 8, 2021 for a graveside service with military honors at Springdale Cemetery, East Windsor.
