Anyone who met Dick felt like an old friend instantly. He maintained friendships faithfully, easily calling upon friends from all the way back to his high school days and creating a pool of friends from every area and time period of his life. He was warm, caring and extremely generous. He was a devoted father and cherished his family. He was quick to laugh and enjoyed the telling of a good story.
