Lillian (Guertin) O’Connor, 80, of Springfield MA, beloved wife of the late Gerald P. O’Connor, Jr. passed away April 14, 2021. She was born January 1, 1941 in Springfield MA, the daughter of the late Robert and Pauline (Tetreault) Guertin. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School and attended Springfield Technical Community College. She had been a Springfield resident for most of her life until retiring to Myrtle Beach, SC. She served faithfully as a member of Holy Name Parish and later was a devoted member of her church community at Saint Michael Parish in Myrtle Beach. She enjoyed puzzles, knitting and quilting but most of all she loved spending time with her family who were the center of her life. Her role as mother and grandmother was where she drew her strength and left her legacy. She is survived by her children: Gerald O’Connor and Patricia McAuley, Thomas and Valerie O’Connor, Mary and Victor Noryk, Robert and Kari O’Connor, Kathleen and Michael Bourassa and Susan and John Padden; her 13 grandchildren; and her siblings Raymond Guertin and Mary Long. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, April 26, 2021 at St. Matthew’s Church, 111 Tolland Green, Tolland, CT. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
