Obituary for Carl Joseph Pattavina

Carl Joseph Pattavina, 83, of Tolland, beloved husband of Margaret “Peggy” (Hartigan) Pattavina passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021. He was born October 15, 1937 in Middletown, the son of the late Salvatore and Lucy (D’Aquila) Pattavina. He graduated from Ithaca College’s Physical Therapy program and was the owner of Manchester Physical Therapy for many years. He used his skills to compassionately help countless patients regain their independence and worked with the elderly in several area nursing homes. He had a life-long love of anatomy and biology and always encouraged his family to dream big and reach for the stars, that there was nothing they could not accomplish if they set their mind to it. His greatest joy came from his grandchildren and times spent together at the family cottage in Rhode Island. Besides his loving wife Peggy, he is survived by his children, Paul Pattavina and his wife Lori (Skoglund) of Vernon, Jude Pattavina-Arroyo and her husband Doug of Hamden, Jonathan Pattavina and his wife Maria (Antonucci) of Hancock, NH, Joel Pattavina of Vernon, and Colleen Isenberg and her husband Ron of East Haddam; his sister, Sophia Perruccio of Middletown; his grandchildren, Emily Dauphinee and her husband Scott, Blaine and Nathan Pattavina, Zachary, Amber and Jordan Arroyo, Annalise and Adam Pattavina, and Jeremy, Ryan and Tyler Isenberg; his two great grandchildren, Mason and Mackenzie Dauphinee; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Emanuel Pattavina. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday May 12th at St. Joseph Church, 33 West St., Rockville, CT. Please follow CDC and state guidelines, masks and social distancing will be mandatory. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
