Obituary for William J. "Skip" Greene III
William J. (Skip) Greene III, 67, of Coventry, CT passed peacefully from this life on May 15, 2021 in the comfort of his home with his family by his side. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years, Valerie Greene, and their daughters: Sarah Zalewski and her husband, Greg, of Bolton, CT and their children Tommy and Joey, and Amanda Ormstedt and her husband Dave, of Greenwood, Indiana, and their son Jameson. He is also survived by his sister, Tracey Greene of Manchester, CT, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Skip will be remembered for his love of trout fishing, his sense of humor, and his love of music. Vacationing on Cape Cod, visiting different seafood restaurants in Provincetown, and whale watching were favorite pastimes. Some of his most enjoyable moments were spent showing his daughters how to fish, attending live music concerts, and watching the sun set over Bass River on Cape Cod.
Skip was predeceased by his parents, Alyce and Bill Greene of South Windsor, and his brother, Michael Greene of Manchester.
There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be held during the summer. Any contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Masonicare Hospice.
