Obituary for Elaine M. Chandler
Elaine Marie Chandler (12/24/1949 - 05/28/2021)
Elaine Marie Chandler died May 28th, 2021 with her daughter by her side. She was born on December 24th, 1949 in Garfield, Maine to the late Mary Jane Bushy. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Leonard Chandler Sr.
She attended E.O. Smith high school in Mansfield, Connecticut. She worked for years as a janitor at UCONN and also had various other jobs throughout her life. While raising her family she became a CNA and enjoyed taking care of the residents at the nursing homes she worked at. Taking care of others was something that came so naturally to her. Her loving nature towards everyone around her will be missed so deeply. She would always greet those she knew with her huge smile and loving hugs. As her family we were so lucky to have such a wonderful mother/mim who would selflessly put her family above herself.
She is survived by her daughter Heidi Ann Cramer and husband Richard Lewis Cramer of Coventry. Her son Richard Leonard Chandler Jr. of Coventry. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren who she was survived by as well. Her grandson Chris Richard Cramer and his partner Danielle Snyder of Waldorf, Maryland. Her granddaughters Jocelyn Marie Cramer of Anchorage, Alaska, Victoria Rose Cramer and her partner Sheldon Smith of North Windham, Connecticut, Hannah Marie-Joanne Cramer and Paige Madison Cramer both of Coventry, Connecticut. Our lives were blessed to have her in it and will forever be missed immensely.
The family will receive people on Thursday June 3rd from 5-7pm at the Coventry-Pietras funeral home at 2665 Boston Turnpike #1005, Coventry, CT 06238. There will be a graveside service on Friday June 4th at 11am at the Coventry Cemetery on 386 Main Street, Coventry, CT 06238.
