Obituary for Barbara Ann Rychling (Martin)

Barbara Ann (Martin) Rychling, 66, of Coventry, CT passed away peacefully at home on July 10, 2021, with her 3 daughters and oldest brother by her side after a year long battle with lung cancer.

Born on July 19th, 1954 in NY, NY, Barbara was the oldest daughter of Madeline E. Moore (Bartle) and James R. Moore. She grew up in the Bronx, NY where she met her life long best friend, Laura. She graduated from James Monroe High School in the Bronx, and had her first 2 children.
Barbara moved to Windham, CT where she had her third child, and studied accounting at Greater Hartford Community College. She worked for the State of Connecticut for many years, working with payroll and pensions.
She enjoyed gardening, crafts, and crime/mystery TV shows. Most of all she treasured time spent with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, adoring grandmother and "Oma."

Barbara will be missed everyday but her memory lives on in her children, her grandchildren and those who loved her.

Her mantra was "Faith, hope, love" which she had until the end.

Surviving Barbara are her 3 daughters, Madeline Biamonte of Mansfield, Jennifer Biamonte of Coventry, and Krysta (Lounsbury) Gaston & her husband William Gaston of Colchester.
She also leaves 7 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren.
Barbara leaves behind siblings John Martin of NY, Thomas Moore of VA, Gordon Moore of NC, Valerie Moore of NY.
She was predeceased by her sister, Diane Moore.
She leaves behind her life long best friend, Laura Ross of NY.
She also leaves behind Wayne Rychling of ME.

There are no calling hours. Her Mass will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 1600 Main St., Coventry.
