Jane M McCrystal, 78, of Tolland died Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Rockville General Hospital. She was born on May 12, 1943 to Herbert and Frances (Waters) Crandall. She graduated from Manchester High School in 1961 and was married to the late Thomas N. McCrystal, Jr in 1963. They resided in Tolland, where she also worked as a school bus driver for many years when her boys were young. In 2000, just shy of 30 years, she retired from the US Postal Service early due to husband's health. The family enjoyed spending time at their vacation homes on Schoodic Lake in Maine and later Lake Chaffee in Ashford where her grandchildren learned to fish and celebrated many Thanksgivings together. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Nancy McCrystal, Glenn and Amy McCrystal and their children all of Vernon as well as younger sister Carol Streeter, Carol's husband Harold and son Jeffrey Rawson. She was predeceased by brother-in-law Gary McCrystal and a nephew, Michael Rawson. She was an avid reader but mainly enjoyed being with her grandchildren Kyle, Cameron, Hannah and Emily. Calling Hours will be held this Sunday, September 19, 2021 between 4pm-6pm at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd., (Rte. 195) Tolland.
