Obituary for Marilyn "Puddy" Yosky (Green)

Heaven gained the most beautiful angel on April 4, 2022. Marilyn “Puddy” (Green) Yosky, 94, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Marilyn was born Dec 2, 1927 in Rockville, CT. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mae (Ludwig) Green and the beloved wife of 49 years to the late George Yosky. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her loving family.

Marilyn enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and traveling. She would often reminisce of her many trips to Florida and Mexico. She was an avid UCONN women’s basketball and country music fan and was a member of the Broad Brook Congregational church for 48 years serving on several committees.

She is survived by her two children, Kevin Yosky, Karen Marquis and husband Jerry of Broad Brook; her four beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Chelsea, Shawn, Kristin; and 12 adored great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Shirley Kidney and Norma Bever brother, Raymond (Bud) Green and daughter-in-law Jana Yosky.

A very special heartfelt thank you to her niece, Marcia Kidney for her unconditional love and giving heart that comforted Auntie Puddy in her final days.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 9-11 a.m., Monday, April 11, 2022 at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner Street, East Windsor. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery in Broad Brook.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Broad Brook Congregational church or to the CT Humane Society.
