Dennis G. Tingley, 76, of Vernon passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 while bravely battling cancer. He was born December 17, 1945 in Providence, R.I., the son of the late George and Bernice (Migneault) Tingley. He is survived by his brother, Robert Tingley and his wife Linda; his nephews and niece, Christopher Tingley and his wife Laura Fox Tingley, Jessica Tingley Maddox, Michael Tingley and his wife Maria Cristina Patron-Tingley; and his great nieces and nephew, to whom he was affectionately known as "UD", Cortney and Keaton Maddox and Lilly and Bailey Tingley; as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins and countless cherished friends. Dennis graduated from East Windsor High School and lived in Florida for a time. When he returned to Rockville he became well known by many after working for several local businesses. Dennis loved visiting with family and friends. He also loved traveling and especially looked forward to trips to the Cape with his niece, Cortney and dear friends Kenny Hill and his family Izzy, Danielle and Sam. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 1 to 3 PM on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St. Rockville, CT.
