Obituary for Walter R. Hicking
Walter R. Hicking, 80, of Coventry, beloved husband of the late Diana (Fenoff) Hicking passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022. Besides his wife he was predeceased by his Father and Mother.
He was born May 16, 1942 in Manchester, CT. He was the son of the late Walter and Mildred Hicking. He was a Commercial Truck Driver and started his career at 16. His last job, which he loved, was at Penske as a Hiker in East Hartford, CT, He loved NASCAR and his family most of all.
He is survived by his children, Scott Hicking and his wife Cheryle, Brenda & Fred Covino, and Cheri Perkins and her husband Ray. Walter was also very proud of his 6 grandchildren who loved their “Pa” very much!!
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 2 to 4 PM on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Tpke. (Rte. 44) Coventry. Following the service, the family invites everyone to 1900 Main Street, Coventry CT, to celebrate Walter’s life.
