Obituary for Leonard A. Mulnite

Leonard (Lenny) Mulnite, 81, passed away peacefully at his home in Broad Brook, Connecticut on September 19, 2022.

Lenny was born on June 29, 1941 and lived almost all of his life in the Windsorville section of Broad Brook. Here he was the owner of Mulnite Farms, Inc. which was established by his father Emil O. Mulnite (deceased) in 1905. Lenny was also one of the founding members of the East Windsor Rotary Club and longtime supporter of the Five Corner Cupboard food pantry in East Windsor. He was an avid golf fan, enjoyed travelling and a member of a bowling league for many years.

Lenny was devoted to his loving wife, Donna Luurtsema Mulnite, to whom he was married to for 57 years until her passing in 2019.

Lenny leaves behind his children, Daryl Mulnite and his wife Nancy, Kim Beckwith and her husband Bill and Debra Mulnite. Also, his sister Elsie Little, cousin Tom Crockett and his wife Sandy, as well as his grandchildren Alex Powell, Devon Powell and Lindsay Mulnite, great-grandchildren Savannah Mulnite and JoJo Baskerville. In addition, his nieces Lee Haines and her husband Michael and Lynn Cote and her husband Alan.

Family and friends may gather Friday, September 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner Street, East Windsor, followed by funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at the Windsorville Cemetery.
