Ruth (Frey) Heck, 102 and wife of the late, Clarence Heck, passed away, Sun., Oct. 30, 2022 at Vernon Manor. She was born June 14, 1920 in Rockville, CT to the late, John and Rose (Gruessner) Frey. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Ellington. Ruth loved to dance and listen to music and go to many rehearsals and concerts of her brother Everett’s band. She enjoyed snowmobiling in her younger years with her husband. She loved needlepointing and making things for her family and friends. She is survived by her brother, John Frey and his wife, Juli of Tolland; her nephews and nieces, Geoffrey Frey of East Hartford, Jason Frey and his wife, Mary Beth of East Hartford, Janice Berriault and her husband, Randy of Ashford, Jonathan Frey and his wife, Mary of Vernon, Jessica Averett and husband, Garren) of Coventry. She was predeceased by her brother, Everett Frey; her nephew, Jeremy who is survived by his wife, Dawn Frey. She is also survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 9-11 a.m., Sat., Nov. 5, 2022 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville.
