JUDITH AIDUKONIS OBITUARY

Aidukonis, Judith Ann age 71 or maybe 24 (the math was unclear), departed this world on November 9 after living an inspiring life. Most will remember her for her iconic Day Before, Day Before Christmas Gingerbread House Gatherings, beach caravans, or as the woman who took a chance on their potential when looking for a career in intellectual property and copyright law. Those who met her later in life will know her as the woman who loved her work at AFCAMP, supporting a mission to improve the quality of life for children with special needs and others at risk of education inequity, helping them to realize their full potential.

Her family, both through blood and magnetism, remembers a wise matriarch, inventive linguist, loyal sister, dedicated caretaker and one-of-a-kind-friend. Judi was someone who constantly held space and time for others and had the ability to make anyone feel like they belonged.

She is predeceased by her parents Stan and Maggie Aidukonis. She is survived by sisters Kathy Aidukonis, Mary Beaulieu, Nancy Reynolds, Stephanie Aidukonis and Susan Cifaldi, her true love, Diet Coke, loving cousins, an innumerable amount of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews due to their Italian lineage, Sister-in-Friendship Kim, and Mother-in-Love, Barbara. She also leaves behind her son, Jonathan, who will live his life knowing he had the best mom in the world.

Calling Hours will be hosted on Wednesday, November 16, from 4-7 PM at Small & Pietras Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, CT. A Mass and Burial will be held on Thursday November 17 at St. Bernard Church and Cemetery, also in Rockville, at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Root Center for Advanced Recovery's Henderson Johnson Clinic in Hartford.
