Obituary for Margaret R. DesRocher
On November 12, 2022 Margaret “Peggy” DesRocher left this world to join her husband, her first and only love, Raymond F. DesRocher Sr.
She was born on August 31, 1942 in Hartford, CT to the late Joseph and Mary Reynolds. She had many roles in life, the most important to her being that of wife, mother and grandmother.
Peggy passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her 11 children Lisa M. McCorkell, Kathleen M. DesRocher, Raymond F. DesRocher Jr. and his wife Kimberly, Charleen D. Turcotte and her husband Michael Sr., Patrick K. DesRocher and his wife Tracy, Maryelizabeth Rozanski and her husband Eben, James N. DesRocher and his wife Michelle, Theodore J. DesRocher and his wife Heidi, Margaret A. Raimo and her husband Christopher, Kevin M. DesRocher and his wife Jessica, and Amy E. Donovan, her 35 grandchildren, Katelyn, Jennifer, Raymond III, Christopher, Faith Anne, James, Margaret, Michael Jr., Martin, Patrick, Madison, Shane, Joshua, Cooper, Logan, Miranda, Brittany, Lindsey, Hunter, Ethan, William, Merrick, Violet, Brianna, Tyler, Gabriel, Isaac, Miah, Jude, Etta, Kolin, Peyton, Kaleb, Camron and Jameson, her great grandchildren Colby, Dylan, Raymond IV, Nicholas, Kerra, Delilah, J.P., Gabriella, Quinn, Sophie, Elias, Mila, Caiden, Delilah, Demari, Ava and two on the way. She also leaves behind her beloved brother-in-law Michael Mollet and her sister-in-law Annalisa Ficcocelli; as well as her many nieces and nephews, her best friend Mary Savelli, her many bingo and Al-Anon friends and Allen Drive friends especially Rene’ Cote.
Peggy will be missed terribly by her boxers, Benny and Kingston, who were always by her side. She was predeceased by her brothers James and Joey and her sister Maryann.
Relatives and friends may join the family on Sunday, November 20, 2022 between 4pm-7pm at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner Street, East Windsor, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11am at St. Catherine Church, 6 Windsorville Road, Broad Brook. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery in Broad Brook.
