James West, 70, of Vernon, passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2022 at Hartford Hospital. He was born July 27, 1952 to the late, Byron and Alice (Kelley) West. He retired from the State of CT, Department of Labor after many years.

He is survived by his brothers and sister and their spouses, Byron West Jr. and Bruny of South Daytona, FL, Alan and Mary West of Stafford, Cathy and John Gionfriddo of Daytona Beach, FL and Jerry and Susan West of Garner, NC. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many close friends that he considered family at Florence Mills. Besides his parents he is also predeceased by his brother, John Robert West and his sister, Judy Martin.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 4-7 pm., Fri., Nov 25, 2022 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect Street, Rockville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Nov. 26, 2022 at St. Bernard’s Church in Rockville. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Rockville.
