We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of our father, Glen Hlavaty, who passed away on Nov. 24, 2022. He grew up in Fairfield CT, spent his married years in Unionville CT, and spent the later years of his life in Willimantic CT. Glen earned a degree from Central State University and for many years owned his own business. He is survived by his brother, David Hlavaty and his wife, Lola; his daughter, Michelle Chieffalo and her husband, Nick and along with their three children and his son, Tom Hlavaty. He was baptized into the Light on the Hill Church in Willimantic and found comfort and a sense of purpose and belonging with this community. Glen loved his grandchildren and could often be seen making drawings to send to them. He loved the New York Giants, golfing, and fishing. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 10-11 a.m., Tues., Nov. 29, 2022 at Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd. (Rt. 195) in Tolland, CT.
