Obituary for Madeleine E. Jesanis
Madeleine Jesanis, 86, formerly of Tolland, Connecticut, went home to meet her Savior on December 6, 2022, surrounded by her family. Madeleine was born in Attleboro, Massachusetts, one of 16 children of Lorenzo and Lydia Daneau. Madeleine moved to Hartford, Connecticut in the mid-1950s, where she met Edward, her husband of 62 years, and raised her family.
Madeleine was a volunteer ambulance driver for the Tolland Fire Department, before helping her husband start a successful residential real estate business. She later worked over 20 years for the US Postal Service, before retiring to Florida and then North Carolina.
Madeleine leaves behind her children Michael and Janet Jesanis of Sunapee, New Hampshire; Peter and Laura Jesanis of Tolland; Annette and Robert Pancavage of Enfield, Caroline and Chris Kulman of Stafford Springs, and Edward and Christine Jesanis of Statesville, North Carolina. Madeleine also leaves behind her sisters Claire Dziadul of Vernon, Patricia Pelletier of Nevada, and her brothers Leo Daneau of Maine, and John Daneau of Rhode Island along with 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may join the family on Saturday, December 10, 2022 between 10am-11am at the Grace Bible Baptist Church, 1151 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon, CT. A Funeral Service will take place at 11am. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Tolland, CT.
