Doug grew up in the Los Angeles CA suburb area and relocated to CT about 30 years ago. Doug has made many memories here with family and friends throughout CT. Doug had previously been employed at GE in Torrington and RR Donnelly in Manchester. At the time of his death he was creating a life long career with ELG Utica Alloys in Hartford. Doug was a very kind and helping soul. He never met a stranger he wouldn't help. He had a very special bond with his step son Michael where they loved to rise early and hit the lakes to fish. Doug loved his family fur-baby Socks.

Doug had a passion for football when his favorite team, the Miami Dolphins played, Doug's father was a college graduate from the Miami area and he maintained that love of the team as his father did. Doug also had a passion for Bald Eagles, of which he would collect items depicting Eagles.
Doug's father was a WWII Army veteran and his grandfather was one of the ten flying aces in WWI. Doug was proud of both men and their sacrifice to their country.

Doug will be truly missed by his family and friends and all the lives that he touched.

Doug's family would like to thank all who have reached out during this difficult time with their special memories; condolences and contributions. We also wish to extend our heartful thanks to the wonderful and caring doctors and staff at the Hartford Hospital ICU C8 section.
