Obituary for Raymond J. Caldwell
Raymond J. Caldwell born on August 9, 1934, in Broadbrook, CT was a lifelong resident of Tolland, CT passed peacefully on March 21, 2023, with family by his side. He served proudly in the United States Air Force and worked his entire career at Pratt and Whitney.
He enjoyed camping, gardening, family, fishing, Red Sox, UCONN Huskies basketball, bowling, horseshoes and time in the yard working on projects.
He was predeceased by his parents, George & Elizabeth Caldwell, brothers William and George and sisters Elizabeth, Mary and Daisy; he is survived by brothers Arthur, Robert, James and sister Barbara Bossie.
He left behind daughter Cheryl Winchester of CT and son William Caldwell and his wife Beth of NH, as well as four granddaughters, one grandson and seventeen great grandchildren.
Those who knew and loved him called him dad, grandpa, Ray or Uncle Ray. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, American Legion and many other local clubs.
