Obituary for Robert E. Boudle

Robert E. Boudle of Stafford Springs passed from this life on April 21, 2023 after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Lancaster, New Hampshire on January 22, 1941 to Madeline (Bourassa) and Howard Boudle.

He is survived by Christine, his wife of 41 years, all his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, 5 brothers and a sister.

Bob moved to Connecticut at 18 and been has a resident for 64 years. Bob started as a welder for Shepard Steel in 1964 and climbed the ranks to Shop Superintendent. Bob continued to work at Shepard Steel for nearly 59 years, even working part-time in his retirement reviewing complex estimating and fabrication drawings. Bob loved his job and took pride mentoring others. Bob enjoyed retirement by spending time at his summer place in Westerly RI, deep sea fishing and bingo at the casinos.

His proudest accomplishment was his family. He leaves sons Eric and his partner Tammy of Pittsburg, NH, Craig and his wife Joan of Benson, AZ, Jeff and his wife Lauren of Vernon, CT, Howard and his wife Mona of Chandler, AZ, Robert Jr. and his better half Karin of Black Canyon City, AZ, and daughters Krystyna and her husband Kenny of South Windsor, CT and Violet of Ellington, CT, grandchildren Michael, Brittany, Jordan, Taylor, Brandon, Justin, Morgan, Caleb and Camden, great grandchildren Porter, Roland, Daphne, Easton and Holden, brothers Irving and his wife Ronnie, Ernest and his wife Barbara, Rodney and his wife Amber, Alfred and his wife Betty and Aubury, and sister Lorraine Virge and her husband Manard all of NH and predeceased by brother Errol and sisters Linda and Laura.

The family will welcome visitors to calling hours at Burke-Fortin Funeral Home located at 76 Prospect Street, Rockville, CT. on Thursday, April 27 from 4 – 8 p.m. Burial will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Grove Hill Cemetery.
