Dorothy “Dottie” K. Gledich 89 of Broad Brook, entered into eternal life with her daughters by her side on Friday, April 28, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford, CT. She was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Ronald J. Gledich. Dottie was born on January 16, 1934 in Hartford. She was the daughter of the late John and Anna(Malin) Kuktis. Dottie resided in Broad Brook most of her life.

Prior to retiring, Dottie was employed for 25 years with Cigna in Bloomfield, CT. After retirement she took a part time job at Southern Auto Auction where she made many new friends. To know her was to love her. An avid UCONN Basketball fan, Dottie enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the movies with friends, eating out at her favorite restaurants, trips to the casino and the beach. She also enjoyed her weekly visits to the hair salon, along with her manis and pedis. Her greatest joy was her granddaughter Caitlin. She was extremely proud of her and loved watching her dance.


Dottie is survived by her two daughters, Lori Lane and her husband Edward, along with her cherished granddaughter Caitlin of South Windsor, CT and Lisa Fuller and her husband Bennett of Enfield, CT. She leaves behind cousins and many special friends who will miss her dearly.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 9-11 a.m., Thurs. May 4, 2023 at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner Street, East Windsor, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 at St. Catherine Church in Broad Brook, CT Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery in Broad Brook.
