Timothy J. LaMay, 68, of Broad Brook, beloved husband of Barbara (Rose) LaMay, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016. He was born August 25, 1947 in Malone, NY, son of Ollie LaMay and Velma (Dame) Gabris. He served in the Vietnam War with the U.S. Navy. He retired from Poland Springs Water Company; after retirement he worked for the Smyth Bus Company. Timothy retired as Captain from the Broad Brook Fire Department. He was a member of the German Liedertafel Singing Society. Besides his loving wife Barbara, he is survived by his son Vincent LaMay and his wife Deborah of Broad Brook, his step-grandson James Dumsar, Jr., his cousin Beverly Favero of FL, his brother-in-law Mark Rose and his wife Karen, his sister-in-laws Rita Green, Marie Scinto and her husband Dean, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his stepfather Vincent Gabris. Relatives and friends may join the family on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 5-8 pm at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 10 am at St. Catherine’s Church, Broad Brook. Burial will follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, East Windsor.
