OOh Robin, What words could I write to you that will make your heart hurt a little less? While I didn't spend a lot of time with him, the times I was in his company were always enjoyable. He had a smile that was so warm and friendly! Watching our parents slowly dwindle away from us is so very hard and so frustrating for us because it makes us feel so helpless. I know your dad felt helpless in his way too, but had to let go when he was ready and felt that his family was ready too. I truly believe your mother heard your prayers for help on Friday as you sobbed for your dad. I believe your dad heard and felt your prayers too and then knew it was really OK to let go and be with your mom. I am so sorry I cannot be there today to say goodbye to your dad and to give you comfort, BUT then again you KNOW I am there in spirit. Love you Robs
