Condolence: As the youngest brother my early memories of Jim are fleeting images, he ran Sacred Heart track, joined the ROTC at UCONN, the Ford Cortina he left for his cross country journey in. When I was about 14 I picked up his guitar and started to play, and Jim as always, helped me learn rather than chasing me away. We had some fun "jam" sessions once I got better, his lead guitar was something not to be missed. I helped paint his first house in Coventry, and he tried in vain to teach me to swing a golf club. We played the TPC in Phoenix together. I remember his wedding to Sara and the boys baptisms. But I never knew I would need to rely on these images until now, when it is too late to capture new ones and all I can do is give the early ones equal prominence as the last. I wish we could play again Jim, I miss you big brother. Love, Ray

Condolence: I am so sorry about Jimmy & all he went through. I was so impressed by the way he took care of his Mom & Dad during there final years. Sara you are in my thoughts & prayers.

Condolence: I had the opportunity to work with Jim during his tenure at the Connecticut Lottery. He was not only a great guy, but a very gentle person as well. My condolences to his entire family. Jim will be greatly missed.

Condolence: How sad to learn of Jim's passing. However, thinking of him revives only GOOD memories. His passion for UConn -- and DOSR/CLC -- place him in the top ranks of my personal "Good Ol' Days". He was ALWAYS a GOOD GUY, and my thoughts will forever remain positive in his regard. I am proud to have known/worked with him for so many years, years ago... and am especially disheartened about the way things deteriorated for him. He deserved better.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear about Jim dying, my condolences to Sara and family. Jim was my boss for a number of years at Special Revenue and was kind enough to give an impromptu speech at my retirement party. I was honored that he took the time to attend the party for me. He was generous with his time and it was greatly appreciated. He taught me to be a manager and many skills I developed were because of Jim.

Condolence: We are so very sorry for this great loss and for all his suffering in the last couple of years. Jim loved his parents well and he walked the talk! A devoted husband & father. We love you Sara, Chris & Michael. We will miss him forever.
