Josephine (Gualano) Vitale, 81, of Ellington and wife of the late Alfred Vitale, went to eternal rest on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Blair Manor in Enfield. She was born April 1, 1927 in Somersville, MA. She is survived by her son, and daughter-in-law, Fred M. and Lori Vitale of Florida; her daughter, Phyllis Palifax of New Britain; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Vitale of MA; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. There will be no calling hours. A Graveside Service will be held privately at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Rockville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 306 Industrial Park Rd., Middletown, CT 06457. Arrangements have been entrusted to Small & Pietras Funeral Home, Rockville, CT.
