Diane Lee (Provost) Johnson, 66, of Hartford, formerly of East Windsor died peacefully at home after losing a short battle with cancer on Sunday, February 28, 2016. She was born June 7, 1949 in Newport, VT to the late Oliver and Norma (Bowen) Provost. Diane was the kind of person who was humble and just loved life, She loved being surrounded by her family and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. She retired after many years from Burger King located on airport road in Hartford, which earned her the nickname " french fry grandma". She is survived by her daughter Dawn Wilcox and her husband Chris of Ellington; her grandchildren, Mark and Brandon Wilson and Alicia Wilcox; her partner of 30 years, Leocadio Santiago; her siblings, Francise Provost Goeway and her husband David of Richford, VT, Jerry Provost and his wife Carolyn of Tolland, Nancy Butler and her husband Marshall of Enfield, Carol Rolocut of Port Orange, FL and Larry Provost and his wife Cathy of Springfield, MA. She is also survived by her very special friend Diane Luca who was tremendously helpful through her final days. Relatives and friends may join the family on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 9 – 10 am at The Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner st, East Windsor, CT 06088.
