Bernadette G. LeBlanc of Coventry, CT passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday 4 January, 2021 at the age of 79. Born in College Bridge, New Brunswick, Canada on 11 April, 1941 to the late Polonie (Pauline Belliveau) and Philippe LeBlanc.

Bernadette is survived by her loving husband of 59.5 years Francis H. LeBlanc, her four children: Jean-Paul LeBlanc (Michael), Coventry, George (April) LeBlanc, Tolland, Shirley Babiec (GP), Manchester, Roger (Rebecca) LeBlanc, Coventry, son-in-law Richard Babiec, Manchester: her five grandchildren: Kelly (Tyler) Carlson, Kristen LeBlanc, Amy (Dalton) Baker, Christopher Babiec (Denise), Melissa Babiec: her three great-grandchildren: Zoey, Hudson, and Athena: her brother-in-law Fred LeBlanc (Inverness, FL): her sister-in-law Bernice LeBlanc, Memramcook, NB, Canada and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother Alyre LeBlanc and four infant brothers: Allain, Oscar, Andre, and Joseph
Bernadette had a deep Catholic faith that carried her thru life’s trials and tribulations. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, grand-mother, great-grand-mother, and friend. She had a welcoming heart and an open home, one never needed an invitation to stop in or stay for a visit or meal. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends. All her children’s friends became part of her family.
Bernadette was a hockey wife, hockey mother, hockey widow, Toronto Maple Leaf and Hartford Wolf Pack fan. She enjoyed traveling the world and especially going to Myrtle Beach, Atlantic City, the Daytona 500, and cruising on the high seas. Casino visits were a delight as was attending Assumption Church bingo. She was an avid card player, cribbage among her favorites. For many years she ran a successful home cleaning business. She particularly loved volunteering at the former Penny Saver Thrift Shop.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, 8 January, 2021 between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. at Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Turnpike, Coventry. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, 9 January, 2021, 10:00 at St. Mary’s Church, 1600 Main Street, Coventry. Please meet directly at the church. The service will be recorded and available for viewing later that day for those unable to attend at www.olqop.com under the Livestream And Recording page. Burial will follow in St, Mary’s Cemetery, Coventry. Due to the healthcare gathering restrictions a celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2021.
