Mom, I remember one of the best lessons in love and charity you ever taught me. I was perhaps 6 yrs old or so. There was a little girl in the backyard who was very thin, very very dirty with ripped clothing. She was clearly hungry. You brought her into the house, fed her, bathed her and put some new clothes you had just bought for us on her and sent her home. We never heard what ever became of that because you would never know either. You didn't do it to be recognized, you did it out of love and a sense of responsibility to your community. Thank you for the very early lesson in love! I miss you Mom.. And I am passing on your message to everyone:

"I told you all one day I would be gone and all you will have is each other". That day has come: BE GENTLE WITH EACH OTHER.
